‘Expert RA’ rating agency affirmed APB’s rating at A+ - very high level of solvency

‘Expert RA’ rating agency affirmed rating of Asian-Pacific Bank at A+ (very high level of solvency), the rating sublevel was downgraded from I to II, with stable outlook.

In the opinion of the rating agency analytics the sublevel rating downgrade is due to the reduction of operation profitability in connection with the deterioration of the quality of loans and, as a consequence, creation of additional provisions.

There are several factors that have positive impact: low concentration of asset-side operations on subjects of high credit risk (on 01.01.15 largest credit exposures to assets net of provisions amounted to 15.7%), APB’s strong competitive position and wide regional presence. In addition, rating-positive factors for the Bank as highlighted by ‘Expert RA’ include balanced assets and liabilities by maturity at the short horizon (on 01.01.15 Н2 = 79,7%; Н3 = 97,4%), low dependence of liability base from funds of the largest lenders and high coverage of operation expenses by net interest and fee income.
